Being a Mindful Manager Workshop
A few places remain for these workshops in Manchester (17 April), Sheffield (18 April) and Exeter (23 April). Particularly suitable for line managers, HR and Occupational Health specialists, business owners and directors, trade union and staff representatives – especially those with little or no knowledge of mental health conditions. This 3 hour workshop covers:
- Stress, anxiety & depression, bi-polar disorder
- Talking with staff about mental health
- Supporting staff in work and managing absence

Organisations who sign the Charter can also access MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus: a 24/7 helpline for staff and an 8-8, 7-day a week advice line for managers for just £1 per person + VAT per year. MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus is a facility which can be made available to volunteers, consultants, apprentices and others as well as paid employees.
Mental Health & Wellbeing Lab
Run by Fresh Thinking Labs and MINDFUL EMPLOYER, this innovative event is based on a small, closed network of companies and public sector employers committed to exploring and developing future-focused workplaces that generate positive mental health and well-being for all through healthy and engaging work. To Christine May, who has provided administrative support for MINDFUL EMPLOYER for near 10 years. MINDFUL EMPLOYER would not have grown so much without Chris’ dedication and enthusiasm for her role and she has enabled that growth to run smoothly from an administrative point of view, especially for all the Charter signatories with whom she has regular contact. We will miss her and wish her well in her retirement.
