The Charter is just one part of the MINDFUL EMPLOYER® initiative and over 1,500 employers have been signatories at some point since the initiative began in 2004. The Charter is a voluntary commitment. It's not an accreditation, award or a set of quality standards but is about working towards the principles of it – signing up is a step along a journey not the end of it.
Over 1.5 million people work for Charter signatories. Any employer can sign the Charter - small, medium or large, public, private or voluntary sector. Coming in April... MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus will be a brand new service exclusively for organisations who are Charter signatories. MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus will provide confidential telephone support for staff and managers for just £1 per employee per year + VAT. This includes both telephone lines, unlimited calls and publicity materials. Both lines will be 0300 numbers and cost the same as calling an ordinary landline number. If you are a signatory already, you will automatically receive details. Alternatively, sign the Charter now and we'll let you know when this is available.
